5 New Beers Released!
On Tuesday, we released five new beers for the new year. For a period of time, our tap list looked empty…but for good reason. We were working hard behind the scenes and we are really excited with what we produced. Swing by the taproom in the near future and try one, if not all of these awesome new releases.
Pale Rider – Pale Ale with Grapefruit Zest
From Revelations 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of earth. Featuring grapefruit zest from our friends at Spade & Plow Organics.
ABV: 5.3% Hops: CTZ, Cascade, Amarillo
All Work and No Play – Northeast IPA
Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria hops take center stage on this hazy IPA. Intense characteristics of apricot, Meyer lemon and fresh cut grass are aided by a fermentation with expressive yeast. Minimal bitterness lets a pillowy malt body provide texture while also staying crazy refreshing to keep your sanity during these final Winter months. All Work and No Play makes Jack a Dull Boy.
ABV: 6.5% Hops: Mandarina Bavaria, Mosaic
Waters of Lethe – Double Northeast IPA
Lethe, the river of forgetfulness, was one of five rivers in the Greek underworld. Newly deceased were required to drink from these waters in order to forget their earthly existence. This big Northeast IPA packs a punch. Tropical flavor and subtle bitterness compliments a big mouthfeel consistent with the style, surely helping you forget the trails and tribulations of life.
ABV: 8% Hops: Azacca, Citra, Huell Melon
Last Rites – Barleywine (Nitro)
A deep, mahogany ale with a complex malt flavor. Azacca and Crystal hops create a fig-newton like aroma and balance, straddling the line between British and American interpretations. Last Rites remans highly drinkable despite a high abv, and provides for much contemplation in every sip, especially the last. For a limited time, Last Rites will be available on Nitro as well.
ABV: 12.3% Hops: CTZ, Azacca, Crystal
The Ferryman (Barrel Aged)
A special release of our Imperial stout that pays homage to Charon, or the Ferryman on the river Styx carrying souls onto the afterlife. The single Bourbon barrel we used began it’s life at High West Distillery, before being sold to Lagunitas Brewing, continuing on to Griffo Distillery, and finally landing in our hands. Notes of coffee, cocoa nibs, oatmeal cookies and of course bourbon carry on from the aroma all the way through the glass.
